The short answer
Zoho CRM runs free for up to 3 users, then $14 to $52 per seat per month on annual billing across Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. Most SMB sales teams that outgrow the free plan land on Professional at $23, where process automation and inventory management show up.
Two things worth knowing before you budget. Monthly billing costs roughly 20% to 34% more per seat depending on tier, which Zoho actually discloses upfront rather than burying it. And unlike some competitors whose AI add-on is a separate line item, Zia is folded into Enterprise and Ultimate with no extra charge, though it needs 75+ converted leads before it starts scoring usefully.
A ten-seat team on Professional comes to roughly $2,760 for year one, cheapest of any mainstream CRM at that seat count. The tradeoff reviewers keep naming is the interface, not the invoice.
Zoho CRM's plans and prices
| Plan | Annual (per mo) | Monthly | Seat minimum | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Up to 3 users | Solo founders and tiny teams that need basic contact and lead management, nothing more |
| Standard | $14 | ~$20 | None | 3-15 reps who want workflow automation and the Zia AI assistant included |
| Professional | $23 | ~$35 | None | 15-50 reps needing process automation and inventory management on top of Standard |
| Enterprise | $40 | ~$50 | None | 50-150 reps that need territory management, custom functions and SSO |
| Ultimate | $52 | ~$65 | None | Larger orgs wanting enhanced usage limits, migration support and full AI/ML access |
Zoho’s own pricing page states annual billing saves “up to 34%” versus monthly, which matches the roughly 20% to 34% spread we found across tiers when cross-checking third-party pricing trackers, since Zoho’s page geo-redirected to INR on our direct fetch and did not itemize monthly-billed USD figures cleanly. Treat the monthly-billing numbers above as close estimates, not vendor-quoted exact figures, and confirm on the calculator before you commit. The free plan has no time limit, it is free indefinitely for up to 3 users.
Add-on costs
| Item | Cost | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Zia AI assistant | Included | Bundled into Enterprise and Ultimate at no extra charge, not a separate paid add-on. Not available on Free, Standard or Professional |
| Additional data storage | About $4 per 5GB/mo | Once you exceed your plan's included storage allotment |
| Team user licenses | Varies by seat count | Read-only or limited-access seats for staff who need visibility but not a full license |
| CPQ and WorkDrive-powered document storage | Varies | Deal-configuration and document tooling layered onto Enterprise/Ultimate workflows |
| Zoho Analytics seats | Varies | Separate product, sold outside the core CRM plan, for teams wanting deeper BI on CRM data |
What three team sizes pay
Our arithmetic from Zoho's published annual per-seat rates, cross-checked against our own sourced entity profile dated August 1, 2026. These are calculated totals, not contract data, and not what any specific customer paid.
| Team | Plan they land on | Seats / year | Add-ons / year | One-time | Year one |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 seats | Free | $0 | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| 10 seats | Professional | $2,760 | $0 | $0 | $2,760 |
| 50 seats | Enterprise | $24,000 | $0 | $0 | $24,000 |
Where the free plan runs out
Zoho CRM gives you 3 users for free, indefinitely. No credit card trap, no 14-day countdown. Contact management, lead tracking and a basic pipeline are all in there from day one.
That is rare. Only 36% of the 318 tools in our Free Tier Report offer a real free plan rather than a trial dressed up as one. Pipedrive, by contrast, has no free tier at all and starts at $14 a seat with a 14-day trial.
The free plan runs out fast in one specific way: a 4th person joining the team. There is no partial upgrade path, you move straight to Standard at $14 a seat once headcount crosses 3. It also runs out the moment you need workflow automation, which Free does not include at any user count.
Standard $14, Professional $23, Enterprise $40, Ultimate $52 per seat per month on annual billing, verified against our own sourced Zoho CRM entity profile and cross-checked third-party trackers. Zoho’s page geo-redirected to Indian rupees on our direct fetch instead of showing clean USD monthly numbers, so treat the monthly-billing figures as close estimates rather than a vendor quote.
The jump from Standard to Professional to Enterprise
Standard covers workflow automation and includes the Zia AI assistant, and for a team under 15 reps doing straightforward pipeline work, it is usually enough.
Professional adds process automation and inventory management for $9 more a seat, a 64% jump. Worth it once a team needs branching processes across departments, or has to track physical inventory alongside deals. That is a real capability gap, not a paywall on features Standard already half-does.
Enterprise at $40 is where territory management, custom functions and SSO show up, generally the tier for 50 to 150 reps. Ultimate at $52 mostly buys higher usage limits and migration support rather than new features, useful for larger orgs that are already bumping against Enterprise’s ceilings.
One thing the tier list does not show: teams already running Zoho One, with Books, Desk or Mail in the mix, get integration value that never appears in the per-seat price. That is a legitimate reason to pick a higher tier than the feature checklist alone would justify.
Zia comes free at Enterprise, and that is unusual
Most competitors sell their AI assistant as a separate add-on with its own invoice line. Zoho folds Zia into Enterprise and Ultimate at no extra charge. It is not available at all on Free, Standard or Professional.
Do not expect it to work on day one. Zia’s lead scoring needs a 60 to 90 day ramp and roughly 75 converted leads before the scoring becomes useful, closer to a slow-cooking feature than an instant AI win.
Reviewer sentiment backs the value story overall. 2,928+ G2 reviews average 4.1/5, and 6,987 Capterra reviews average 4.3/5, with value for money and customization depth cited often. The recurring complaint is not price, it is the interface: dated, sometimes cluttered, with support response times reviewers describe as inconsistent.
Bottom line
A ten-seat team on Professional runs about $2,760 in year one, and a 50-seat team on Enterprise runs about $24,000, both cheaper than Salesforce or HubSpot at the same seat count and feature depth, per the 466-tool SaaS Pricing Cliff Report .
Start free if you are 1 to 3 people and do not pay a cent until you outgrow it. Past that, Standard at $14 is the cheapest real seat price in mainstream CRM, and Professional at $23 is where most growing SMB teams land. Budget extra onboarding time either way, since the interface takes longer to learn than Pipedrive’s , and slower support is the real tradeoff for the lower price, not fewer features.
Zoho CRM pricing questions
How much does Zoho CRM cost per user
Free for up to 3 users. Paid tiers on annual billing are $14 (Standard), $23 (Professional), $40 (Enterprise), $52 (Ultimate) per seat per month. Monthly billing runs roughly 20% to 34% higher, per Zoho’s own pricing page.
Is Zoho CRM actually free
Yes, genuinely, for up to 3 users, indefinitely, not a time-boxed trial. That puts it in the minority: only 36% of the 318 tools in our Free Tier Report have a real free plan.
Which Zoho CRM plan do most teams need
Professional at $23 a seat, once a team of roughly 15 to 50 reps needs process automation and inventory management. Standard at $14 covers most teams under 15 reps.
Does Zoho CRM charge extra for its AI features
No separate line item. Zia, Zoho’s AI assistant, is bundled into Enterprise and Ultimate. It is not sold on lower tiers at all, and it needs roughly 75 or more converted leads before its lead scoring becomes useful.
Is Zoho CRM good for a small team of 3 to 5 people
Yes, and it may cost nothing. The free plan covers up to 3 users on basic contact and pipeline management. A 4th or 5th seat, or a need for automation, pushes you to Standard at $14.
Is Zoho CRM worth it for a solo founder
The free plan covers a solo founder’s core contact and lead work at zero cost. If you need workflow automation or the Zia AI assistant, Standard at $14 a month is still cheap relative to most CRMs.
What does Zoho CRM cost for a 50-person sales team
About $24,000 in year one on Enterprise at $40 a seat, our own calculation from the published annual rate. That is meaningfully cheaper than Salesforce or HubSpot at the same seat count and feature depth.
What is the tradeoff for Zoho CRM's low price
Interface and support, not features. Reviewers on G2 and Capterra consistently describe a dated, sometimes cluttered UI and inconsistent support response times as the price of the lower cost, per our sourced Zoho CRM entity profile .
