The short answer

Freshsales is the cheapest ladder we’ve verified in this category: $9 (Growth), $39 (Pro), $59 (Enterprise) per seat a month on annual billing, no free tier, just a 21-day trial.

The catch is that Freddy AI, the feature most of Freshworks’ marketing leads with, isn’t in any of those numbers. It’s billed separately at $49 per 100 sessions, on every tier, and reviewers specifically flag this as the point where the advertised price and the real bill diverge.

If your team won’t use Freddy heavily, Freshsales is genuinely the best-value seat price in this batch. If Freddy is why you’re buying it, budget the session cost before you commit.

Freshsales' three tiers, annual and monthly

Growth$9$11None
Startups and SMBs. Kanban pipeline, contact lifecycle stages, chat/email/phone in one view
Pro$39$47None
Growing and mid-sized teams. Adds contact scoring, deal insights, sales sequences, territory management
Enterprise$59$71None
Mid-to-large teams. Forecasting insights, field-level permissions, custom modules, sandbox, audit logs

No free plan; every tier starts with a 21-day trial, after which you pick a plan and pay by card. Freddy AI Agent is not included at any tier and is billed separately per session, on top of the seat price.

The cheapest ladder we’ve checked

Freshsales runs $9, $39, $59 a seat a month on annual billing, Growth to Enterprise. Of the five CRM pricing pages we’ve verified in this category so far, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Close, and this one, Freshsales has both the lowest entry price and the lowest top tier.

There’s no free plan. What you get instead is a 21-day trial, then a card and a plan choice. That’s a real difference from Pipedrive’s indefinite 14-day-then-nothing model or HubSpot’s genuinely-free tier, but it’s the normal case: 35% of the 318 tools in our Free Tier Report offer exactly this, a trial and nothing more.

The feature the sticker price doesn’t include

Here’s the part worth knowing before the seat price sells you on Freshsales. Freddy AI Agent, the AI layer Freshworks leads its own marketing with, isn’t included on any tier. Not Growth, not Pro, not even the $59 Enterprise plan. It’s billed separately, at $49 per 100 sessions, on top of whatever you’re already paying for seats.

That’s a genuinely different pricing shape from a tool like Close, where most AI features are free and only a specific few are metered. On Freshsales, the entire AI layer sits outside the seat price, full stop.

Where reviewers actually push back

The seat price itself draws little complaint in reviews; at $9 to $59, it’s hard to argue with. The complaints, synthesized from G2 review themes, are specific to Freddy: reviewers describe the AI add-on as expensive for what it delivers, and some report that adding it roughly triples their total bill compared to the seat price alone.

That’s a useful number to sit with. If Freddy is a nice-to-have for your team, Freshsales’ base price is genuinely the best deal in this batch. If Freddy is why you’re buying, price the sessions, not just the seats.

A smaller thing worth checking at checkout

Branded Documents, a minor add-on, bills annually per user on the Growth plan but monthly per user on Pro and Enterprise. The dollar amount ($19/user) is the same; the cadence isn’t. It’s a small thing, but it’s exactly the kind of detail that makes an invoice look different from what you budgeted, and it’s confirmed directly on the vendor’s own pricing page.

Cheap floor, steep ladder

Freshsales’ entry-to-top climb is 556% (Growth to Enterprise), steeper in percentage terms than the 88% median in our Pricing Cliff Report , but starting from such a low base ($9) that the absolute dollar gap is still smaller than most competitors’ first tier jump alone. Cheap floor, proportionally steep ladder: both things are true at once.

The verdict

For a small team that wants a clean CRM and doesn’t need heavy AI, Freshsales at $9 to $39 a seat is close to the best deal in this category, full stop. The trial-not-free structure is a minor inconvenience next to that price.

Where it gets more expensive than it looks is Freddy. If your team plans to lean on AI qualification, enrichment, or agent features, model the session cost before you commit, because that’s the number the seat price hides. For teams where built-in calling matters more than AI, Close is the better-matched alternative at a similar price point. Freshsales places fifth in our full CRM ranking , mainly on depth rather than value, since on pure price-to-feature it’s arguably the strongest entry in the category.

Freshsales pricing questions

How much does Freshsales cost per user

$9 (Growth), $39 (Pro), or $59 (Enterprise) per user per month on annual billing. Monthly billing is $11, $47, $71. Verified against freshworks.com August 15, 2026, cross-checked against the vendor’s INR pricing at a constant conversion rate.

Is Freshsales free

No. There’s a 21-day trial, not an ongoing free tier, which puts Freshsales in the majority: across the 318 tools in our Free Tier Report , 35% offer only a time-limited trial like this one.

Does Freddy AI cost extra on Freshsales

Yes, on every tier. Freddy AI Agent is billed at $49 per 100 sessions, separate from the seat price. It is not bundled into Enterprise or any other tier, which surprises buyers who assumed the top plan included it.

Is Freshsales the cheapest CRM in this category

By sticker price, yes, at least among the five we’ve verified (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Close, Freshsales). Its $9 entry and $59 ceiling are both the lowest of the batch, before Freddy AI usage is added.

Is Freshsales good for a small team of 3 to 5 people

Yes, on price. Growth at $9 a seat is the cheapest entry point we’ve verified in this category, and it covers pipeline, contact stages, and basic communication. Light Freddy AI use adds only a small amount on top.

What does Freshsales cost for a 25-person team using Freddy heavily

By our own calculation, around $22,400 in year one on Enterprise with roughly 800 Freddy sessions a month across the team. Freddy usage is the variable that moves this number the most; heavier AI use pushes it up fast.

Why do reviewers complain about Freshsales pricing

Not about the seat price, which is well-regarded. The complaints, synthesized from G2 reviews, target Freddy AI specifically: it’s billed as a metered add-on rather than included, and some reviewers describe the AI add-on cost alone as roughly tripling their total bill.
