Our editorial team
Every Topickz article has a named author with relevant experience. We do not use ghostwriters, hide bylines, or assign reviews to writers with no domain knowledge. If you read a review of CRM software on Topickz, it was written by someone who has used CRMs as part of their job.

How our editorial team works
- Domain match, reviewers only cover categories they have direct operating experience in
- Single author per review, no ghostwritten content, every byline is real
- Editor sign-off, top-of-category content reviewed by Editor-in-Chief before publishing
- Quarterly reviewer audits, we re-validate that reviewers’ expertise is current with the categories they cover
- Named accountability, every review is signed off by our Editor-in-Chief, who publishes under his real name
Why our reviewers use pen names
Our category reviewers are independent freelance contributors, not employees. Most of them review tools sold by companies they may have to criticize in print, and several still work inside the industries they cover.
To keep that coverage independent of vendor pressure, and to respect our writers’ privacy, they publish under a consistent pen name instead of linking personal social profiles or posting headshots.
What does not change is accountability. Every reviewer owns one persistent byline tied to a documented area of expertise and a public testing methodology. The work itself builds a track record you can read in full on each author page.
And every piece is signed off by our Editor-in-Chief, Vignesh S , who publishes under his real name and is the accountable person behind everything on this site.
A pen name is not a way to dodge responsibility. If a reviewer gets something wrong, our corrections process applies exactly as it would with any byline. It is simply how we let working operators write honestly about their own industry.
